Do I have to pay now?
No. Musette is free while it’s in beta and we don’t ask for a card — we can’t charge you even if we wanted to. You’ll be asked to confirm before anything is ever charged.
What is a Founding Member?
A thank you to early verified Musette members who join and help shape it. Your account keeps the badge permanently, and we listen to you first. It’s account status, not a price: it doesn’t unlock features or promise a discount.
Is my family’s information safe?
Your school items, children and photos are visible only to the adults in your household — enforced in the database, not just the screens. Photos are stored privately with no public link. There are no advertising trackers and we don’t sell data. The security page sets out exactly what we do and what we haven’t built yet.
What can I send it?
Pasted text from an email or school app, screenshots or photos of a notice, and PDF letters. Scanned image-only PDFs are the weak spot — a screenshot works better there.
Can I forward school emails to it?
Not yet. That’s coming to the beta. Paste, screenshot and PDF all work today.
Is this only for separated parents?
No. It’s for any parent or carer running school admin — on your own, with a partner, or across two homes. Two-home families are a setup we’ve built for properly.
Can I use it on my own?
Yes. Nothing waits for a second person. If you do want another adult in, you create an invite link in Settings and they sign in to the same plan with their own login.
Does it know which child a message is about?
Usually. Tell it your children’s names and year groups once. When it can’t tell, it leaves the child blank rather than guessing.
What if it gets something wrong?
Every item is editable and the original quote sits underneath it. Anything unsure is flagged for a look.
Do schools need to sign up?
No. Schools do nothing differently and never hear from us. You hand over the messages they already send you.
