Early access terms
The deal, while this is still early.
Musette is in private early access with a small number of UK families. These terms are short on purpose, and they’re honest about what is finished and what isn’t.

What you’re agreeing to
By creating an account you agree to use Musette for its purpose — organising your own family’s school admin — and to these terms and our privacy page. If you don’t agree with them, don’t create an account.
Money
- Musette is free during early access. We don’t ask for a card and we can’t charge you.
- If you picked “annual” or “monthly” anywhere, that records a preference for later. It is not a purchase, a subscription or a commitment.
- When paid plans exist, you’ll be asked to confirm before anything is ever charged.
What is and isn’t built yet
We’d rather you knew this before you rely on it. Today: paste text, add screenshots or photos, add PDF letters, share with one other adult, subscribe your calendar.
- Forwarding school emails to Musette is not switched on.
- There are no push notifications and no reminder emails. Nothing will tap you on the shoulder.
- There is no native iPhone or Android app. It’s a website you can add to your home screen.
- A household holds up to two adults at this stage.
- Scanned, image-only PDFs are the weak spot; a screenshot usually works better.
Check anything that matters
Musette reads school messages with AI. It is good, not infallible: it can miss an item, misread a date or a payment, or attach something to the wrong child. Every item is editable and shows the original quote underneath. It is a helper, not the official record — the school’s own message is. Please don’t rely on it alone for a deadline, a payment or a medical matter.
Because it’s free early-access software, we provide it “as is” and we’re not liable for a missed non-uniform day, a late payment or a form that didn’t get signed. Nothing here limits rights you have under UK law that can’t be limited.
Your household and the other adult
- Inviting a second adult is optional. Only invite someone you genuinely share school life with — they will see all the school items, children and “get ready” lists in your household.
- Invite links are private. Send them the way you’d send a password, and revoke one in Settings if it goes astray.
- The household owner controls who has access and can remove the other adult.
- Calendar subscription links are secrets too. Anyone holding one can read your approved school dates until you revoke it.
Being a beta family
You’re here to help shape it, and we read every message you send through Settings → Feedback & requests. We may email you occasionally about the beta itself. We may change or remove features while we learn, and we’ll try not to surprise you with it.
Fair use
Don’t submit content that isn’t yours to submit, don’t try to break, probe or overload the service, and don’t use it to hold information about other people’s children. We can suspend an account that does.
Ending it
You can stop at any time. To remove your account and data, use Settings → Feedback & requests → Delete my account and data; the founder confirms by email and carries it out. We may end early access, with notice to the families using it.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If any part turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
